What is happening at Christ Church and beyond
Thank you: Margaret Topham would like to thank all those who sent lovely letters and sympathy cards, following the death of her sister, Rita Haines.
Home Communion: If you, or anyone you know is unable to attend church and would like to receive Home Communion, please contact Vikki Thomas (vicarspa@ccbedford.org) to arrange for someone to visit.
Sunday Walk: Sunday 29th March Putnoe Woods, hopefully to view some bluebells! Meet 2pm at church to car share. Bring money for refreshments out or back at CC.
Lent Course: Final week: Wednesday 1st April 8pm in the church. We conclude our Lenten journey looking at Jesus before authorities, using material from Tom Wright’s book “Lent and Easter for Everyone”, (this week: Jesus). Please do join us in person or online – we will be livestreaming (or you can always watch later) on the Christ Church Bedford YouTube channell.

Craft Time: Do you enjoy craft activities, such as sewing, card making, crochet, cross stitch, knitting, drawing, paper craft etc? There is a group of us who meet in room 7 at Church on a Thursday morning from 10am to 12 Noon. We spend time together chilling, chatting and creating our crafts. If anyone is interested to find out more information, look out for Carolynne Roberts, Lesley Greenslade, or Sandra Gardner on a Sunday or just turn up on a Thursday.... Open to all levels of interest, we look forward to seeing you.
Decorating for Easter: The flower team and craft group are decorating the church for Easter on Saturday 4th April. The flower team would like some donations of greenery to use in their arrangements. Please bring these to church, preferably on Good Friday, and place any donations by the bike rack on the Denmark Street / vicarage side of church.
Please note: There is no Go4Gold on Good Friday, back on 10th April, with Soup and Social’ and Ladies Elevenses (Speaker Marion Zebedee-Topham) is on 11th April.
Plant Sale: Saturday 9th May. With the sun beginning to shine, now is the perfect time to sow seeds and take cuttings. Last year lots of people requested vegetable and herbs plants so please sow lots of these. Please sow and divide lots of flowers/shrubs/trees etc too. If you need, there are some plant pots at the top of the Vicarage driveway.
